Amuse Bouche | Mouth Entertainment

amuse boucheI recently had a good friend over for a little visit. She’s…let’s call it particular…when it comes to food choices, but neither of us had eaten dinner and all I had was a bunch of leftovers I knew she probably wouldn’t like.

Challenge: accepted.

I served her up 6 little spoonfuls of pure mouth entertainment.

We’re talking about amuse-bouche, which is French for “(it) entertains (the) mouth”. You may have had it before; it’s that fancy pants presentation–a small taste in a spoon–that a chef who’s eager to tease your palette might serve before the meal begins. In the case of my friend, it was more like a pretty plate of leftovers, jazzed up Reformed Couch Potato-style.

Here are my delightful spoonfuls, from left to right (with special thanks for several new recipes from JJ Virgin and Spacegirl Organics:

About jenni smith

Jenni Smith is a recovering fast food addict and a reformed couch potato who swore she'd never be a distributor... until the day she realized the only thing holding her back from reaching her true potential was her own stubbornness. And maybe a bit of fear. When she finally decided to put on her "big girl pants", Jenni (and her rock star husband, Paul) went from founding distributor to top earner in two years, and is now a Youngevity Vice Chairman Marketing Director. With a 15-year career in marketing and two little girls at home, Jenni raises her kids and her family's income at the same time and is passionate about coaching anyone who has: A) a desire for better health; B) a need for better wealth; C) patience for sass.
