February Team Tip | Where Leadership Happens

superbowl-50Anyone watch a little football last night? Yeah, me too. And, WOW.
If I’m being honest, I’m not what you’d call a sports fanatic, but I enjoy a good game now and again.
The rivalry, the excitement, the commercials(!)…they’re all part of what makes the Super Bowl fun, but my husband (Paul) put his finger on the true magnificence of the bowl:
There’s nothing like watching the best of the best do what they do best.

I couldn’t agree more. When you’re watching athletes perform at the top of their game, you’re watching art in live form. I was impressed and inspired.

Most eyes were glued to Peyton Manning, and with good reason. He’s not just a great player, he’s a true leader.

Generally speaking, quarterbacks have a lot of responsibility. They have to make quick decisions under loud, sometimes frantic conditions. They must stay positive. They need their teams to follow them. They’ve got to believe they’re calling the right plays, and then trust the team to execute.

This all got me thinking about leading an MLM team. Sometimes we have to lead when all eyes are on us. But leadership is just as important when no one is looking. In other words…

Leadership happens both on — and off — the field.
That’s the tricky part about building a team. Even when you’re not standing in front of a room full of people, your team is watching you.
They’re watching to see if you’re active in company events.
They’re watching to see if you’re enrolling.

They’re watching to see if you’re available.

The challenge I’ll issue for this month’s team tip is to push, to stretch, and to strive for MVP-worthy leadership in your business. You just never know who’s watching.

With a 15-year career in marketing and two little girls at home, Jenni raises her kids and her family's income at the same time and is passionate about coaching anyone who has: A) a desire for better health; B) a need for better wealth; C) patience for sass.
